DIGITAL CLASSROOM ECLASS

Brief Summary

The UoA elearning platform (eclass.uoa.gr) supports the asynchronous elearning service, at the University of Athens, without restrictions and commitments. Service’s access is performed by a simple web browser, without the requirement of specialized technical knowledge.

The integration of augmentative distant education methods, in the learning process of the University of Athens, supports and enhances teaching and access to knowledge, as well as provides combinations of new methods which complement the traditional teaching procedures. In this way, participants in the educational process choose their own time frame for communication and access to educational content.

At the same time, the availability of digital management and provision of the educational material of the courses is allowed, as well as a multitude of communication media between the teacher and the students. This process facilitates the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the course.

Main objectives of eClass are:

  • The integration of new technologies in educational activity.
  • The electronic management and presentation of the existing educational material (notes, assignments, presentations, videos, etc.).
  • The constructive use of the Internet.
  • Ease of use by teaching staff and students without requiring specialized technical skills.
  • The structured and unified presentation of courses.

The content of e-learning courses, hosted by e-Class, as well as the copyright of the material, belongs to the authors.
