Brief Summary

Since 1999, the Network Operations Center has started a series of training informative seminars aiming at familiarization of the university community with digital services. The training seminars are addressed to an audience which is usually made up of faculty members, EEDIP and ETEP, administrative and technical staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University of Athens (NKUA). Additionally, there is the possibility of organizing interdepartmental training groups on subjects of common special interest.

The nature of the training and informative seminars was and remains practical. The subject and content of each seminar is prepared by a group of trainers (under the guidance of the Network Operation Center), in collaboration with the group of trainees.

The operating framework of the training/informational seminars is determined by the basics which take place during training procedures (status of trainees and trainers, report of attendance, report of material taught).

The expression of interest from Schools, Departments, groups of faculty members or individual members, for the organization of training/informative seminars is carried out by sending an e-mail message to the address helpdesk@noc.uoa.gr with the subject "Expression of interest for training" , where the proposal will be developed. The scheduling of the seminars is determined based on the demand and the availability of trainers.
