Brief Summary

The Network Operations Centre (NOC) holds servers available to host Institution unit’s websites (Management Services, Schools, Departments, Laboratories or Clinics) that do not have the ability to support this service, as well as individuals, members of the University Community.

Furthermore, NOC provides the online service UoAScholar dedicated to the creation of personal academic faculty member’s web pages.

Also, NOC has storage space, accessible via FTP, so that users can additionally store data in shared or personal space, thus having an intermediate storage space either for personal use or for data exchange with other users.


Who is it addressed to? 

It is addressed to the central administration of the University, the administrations of the Faculties, Faculties and Laboratories, the Teaching Staff members, the EEDIP and the ETEP, the administrative and technical staff of the University of Athens (NKUA), scientific collaborators and postgraduate students of NKUA, as well as the organizers or coordinators of conferences, seminars or research projects.


How to gain access

  1. If it is a personal webpage, it is sufficient to have an account at the Network Operations Centre.
  2. If it is the UoA Scholar online service for creating personal academic websites, you need to be a faculty member of the institution and have an account at the Network Operations Centre, χρειάζεται να είστε μέλος ΔΕΠ του ιδρύματος και να διαθέτετε account στο Κέντρο Λειτουργίας και Διαχείρισης Δικτύου
  3. If it is a Faculty, Department, Laboratory or Conference website, a University service account holder must first be authorized by the person responsible (e.g. Department Chair, Laboratory Director, etc.) to maintain the relevant pages.
